Compliance at the Schnellecke Group

We respect applicable laws, cultural values, and social norms in all regions where we operate. We expect our business partners, service providers, and suppliers to demonstrate the same understanding of responsible conduct.

Measures and structures for reliable compliance

Legally compliant and ethical conduct is the foundation of the Schnellecke Group. Our compliance management system ensures consistent adherence to rules and standards – and our commitment to combating corruption, human rights violations, conflicts of interest, antitrust violations, and fraud.

Responsible, sustainable, and lawful conduct is one of the values of the Schnellecke Group and is firmly anchored in the corporate strategy. The core values and business principles are laid down in the Corporate Code of Business Ethics and are implemented and practiced worldwide through corresponding guidelines and standards.

The corporate principles listed here apply worldwide at all Schnellecke Group locations and business areas.

Compliance means action. Good compliance is based on values and corporate culture. We live compliance out of the conviction that we can only be successful if we align our business activities with compliance with laws and regulations as well as internal and external framework conditions.

Our Code of Conduct for Employees contains binding standards, principles, and expectations that we apply to our daily behavior and actions. The principles enshrined in this code are binding for all employees of the Schnellecke Group worldwide.

The Code of Conduct prohibits corruption and any anti-competitive behavior and addresses key issues such as the prohibition of discrimination and harassment, as well as the handling of conflicts of interest and personal data. To further specify these principles, the Code of Conduct is supplemented and implemented by group-wide guidelines.

We expect the same understanding of responsible conduct from our business partners, service providers, and suppliers. The Supplier Code of Conduct describes the basic standards that we require throughout the supply chain – as the basis for fair, transparent, and reliable cooperation.

PAIA gives effect to section 32 of the South African Constitution, which focuses on the right to access information. Section 51 of PAIA obliges private bodies to compile a manual to enable a person to obtain access to information held by such private body and stipulates the minimum requirements that the manual has to comply with.

How we measure ourselves

Our standards

Human rights & business ethics

We respect human rights and expect the same from our business partners along the supply chain.

Corruption prevention

We do not tolerate corruption and act according to clear rules for ethical business relationships worldwide. Gifts must never influence decisions or create the impression of unfair advantages.

Gifts, hospitality, and invitations

Gifts, invitations, and hospitality are only permissible if they are appropriate and the business connection remains clear. When in doubt, be transparent, consult with others, and obtain approval.

Conflicts of interest

Business decisions must be made free of private interests – in the interests of the company. Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed at an early stage and resolved in a coordinated manner.

Antitrust & competition law

We are committed to free and fair competition and consistently comply with antitrust and competition law requirements. Sensitive information such as prices, terms and conditions, or market strategies are not shared with competitors.

Donations and sponsorship

We support charitable projects responsibly and in accordance with clear, group-wide rules. Donations and sponsorship must be transparent, approved, and free of conflicts of interest or quid pro quo arrangements.

Dialogue & Responsibility

Cooperation with stakeholders and social partners

We see responsible corporate governance as a shared responsibility. That is why we engage in regular dialogue with our stakeholders, both internal and external. These include employees and managers, employee representatives, trade unions, employers’ associations, and other partners and institutions that support our business activities.

Dialogue helps us to identify expectations at an early stage, make issues transparent, and further develop our standards in everyday business life. When it comes to work-related issues in particular, we focus on constructive cooperation and clear, reliable processes – in the spirit of fair interaction and long-term stable cooperation.
