The Schnellecke specialist trainee program: Your start in the world of logistics

DSC04201 Philipp Unger

Unlike international trainees, specialist trainees are not assigned to different divisions but are anchored to their specialist department, meaning that the training is more in-depth than it is broad. Some divisions try to give the trainee insight into interfaced departments by assigning them to other departments or company sites. In this, the focus is always on the core business of the actual specialist department. If you work in the Controlling department at the Wolfsburg site, for example, then your trainee year can include travelling on business for several months to the Dingolfing site, where you will be assigned to the Controlling/Accounting department in order to become more familiar with the daily business of your colleagues.
