“For me, working in Germany is a great opportunity.”

Jenny, HR Analysis & Processes Expert at Group Headquarters

Jenny, you swapped your job at Schnellecke in Mexico for Germany in March. How did that come about?

“I've always enjoyed working internationally. I've been with Schnellecke since 2016 and wanted to develop professionally and culturally. I was open and let my colleagues and managers know that I wanted to take advantage of such an opportunity.”

And it worked out. What happened next?

“We were visited in Mexico by HR colleagues from the head office in Germany. I realized that I could contribute my knowledge well. And my future line manager noticed that too. When the position of HR Analysis & Processes Expert was advertised in Wolfsburg, I jumped at the chance. After some organization, the time had come: I traveled to Germany in March 2023.”

How does it feel to suddenly be living and working in a foreign country?

“The cultural differences between Mexico and Germany were a challenge for me. Then there's the new language, so I started from scratch. But it's worth it. I have German lessons every day and I learn a lot from my colleagues. I'm very happy to be here and I'm looking forward to the next two years.”
